Interferon alfa (interferon Alpha) is an antiviral, antiproliferative,
and immunomodulating agent. Interferon alfa is used for
the treatment of non-myeloproliferative feline leukemia
virus (FeLV), feline immunodeficiency virus, and feline
herpes viral conjunctivitis. Interferon alfa may also be
used in the treatment of plasma cell stomatitis, and severe
cases of canine viral papillomas.
