the synthesis of thyroid hormines. It is commonly used in
veterinary medicine for the treatment of feline hyperthyroidism.
Methimazole is often preferred over propylthiouracil for
the treatment of hyperthyroidism in cats due to a lower
incedence of adverse reactions.
