Mibolerone (for "Cheque Drops")

Mibolerone ( formerly "Cheque Drops" ) is a compounded contraceptive for prevention of estrous in female dogs. Mibolerone is not approved for use in cats due to the potential for Hepatotoxicity.

Mibolerone is classified as a steroid (androgen). Steroids in general have the potiential to adversely affect the liver and for this reason monitoring liver function is important. Monitoring liver function is necessary especially in older bitches.
