PCAB Accredited Compounding Pharmacy:
On September 4, 2009 Premier Pharmacy Labs became the fifth compounding pharmacy in the state of Florida to earn the Pharmacy
Compounding Accreditation Board Seal of Accreditation.
PCAB was created by the leading
organizations in pharmacy for the purpose of recognizing those compounding pharmacies that have demonstrated their outstanding commitment to quality. Premier Pharmacy Labs has been tested against an extremely challenging set of national standards created by the some of the experts in pharmacy compounding today, and Premier Pharmacy Labs has passed.
We are honored to be among the first in the nation to earn this new
accreditation, as it sets us apart from other compounding pharmacies. It
confirms our commitment to providing safe, personalized solutions that meet
the medical needs of our patients – and the needs of the healthcare
providers who rely on us for these specialized medicines.
For more information on PCAB accreditation view the document "Facts about Compounding Pharmacies and Accreditation," provided by PCAB, or visit the PCAB website at www.pcab.org.
Risk Level Three Compounding:
This is the most demanding form of preparation that a
compounding pharmacy can formulate, and we have been doing
it longer than any active pharmacy.
We are not the largest compounding pharmacy in the business,
nor do we aspire to be. We just want to be the best. Starting
with our method of testing our preparations, we distinguish
ourselves by the fact that our testing is performed both
in-house as well as by an independent laboratory.
This redundancy gives us more checks, and greater confidence
in our quality preparations. Our test methodology is more
accurate than HPLC testing, and is recommended by the
FDA over HPLC methods, further separating us from other
Compounding Pharmacies.
Particulates Inspection:
This important step in the assurance of a high quality
preparation is performed both in house using USP 788 guidelines
and at an independent analytical laboratory. This redundancy
further reinforces our commitment to deliver quality sterile
preparations.
